Loyal Friends

You said
that I could give you
my loyalty
What was it you thought?
I wonder
what could you get from me
that you wouldn't be able to forget
just as fast
as you said you promised...

Because you said
my loyalty
had never meant anything
to you
and you said it
just as fast...

I said
Okay...
and then the silence came
like emptiness
to rule
between us...
You knew there were nothing
to be said
I had no one else to give
This loyalty was all
that kept me interesting
So I gave you the money
to brake away this weightlessness
in our nothing...

I asked;
-Will you give me back?
later?
when you have enough?
...and you promised
like always...
but I knew
it was only friendly conversation
nothing more...

-You said;
that I could give you
my loyalty
but what was it really you thought
you could get from me
that you couldn't get from someone else?
just as easy?

Because you didn't even visit...
In between your friends laughter
and the embracing distance on phone lines
You betrayed me after a pattern I know
but don't want to remember
So I promised you
honest money and fun
just to brake away this weightlessness
in our nothing...
But I only asked myself;
-What was it really I thought
You could get from me
that you wouldn't be able to forget
Just as fast
as you promised
that you would remember me...
