-"Just because you are bigger, doesn't mean that you are better" is a saying that I remember as I grew up. Just because you are born white, doesn't mean that white is better; because it's not a talent. To be ashamed of your color or looks is really just the same thing as being proud of it; because you give people a message saying that it matter, it's inportant. Of course it's really understandable that some people choose to be proud or ashamed of their looks, we live in such a material world, where we can buy everything for money. It's a lot more difficult finding beauty in the things we cant promote. It's not weird that we start thinking that inner qualities is less inportant. In these beauty contests it's supporters say that the inner qualities do matter, personality and moral is important. -Of course it is, because we can compare these beauty queens with the monarchy; it's always been about looks and morals rather than talent. It's really an old form of Fascism that live trough the modern fashion of today. It's always been important that the royal people have so cold "good genes", good morals" and that they dress in the good looking, wealthy and expensive way. People react even today when some royal start acting different, even if they think it is fine for normal people to act outside these morals, the royal people are not really people, they are rolemodels, they are icons. So we shouldn't treat them as humans. They are not supposed to have any political opinion, because politics means rebellion, politics always change and it talks about the reason behind things, which is something the supporters of the monarchy and these beauty contests often don't want to disscuss.
Most people, including myself, will say that religion and policy doesn't belong together, because religion is a personal thing and we should be allowed to express our personal interests, policy are really the thing that are suppose to give us the right to have personal interests like that. No matter we cant really say that culture is a personal thing, because often religion is more a part of a culture or policy than we like to think. Spirituality is often a more difficult thing to find, than religion with morals and general rules.
Talent or depth doesn't seem to be a very important thing behind the reason of these beauty contests and the monarchy. The "beauty queens" are not aloud to have political opinions, unmodern interests or be depressed, short or a little overweighed. Their supposed to smile all the time, act as though they are gentle and kind, cute and emotional; the way people feel that women should be like. The end of it is that these people don't really manage to express a personality that are their own. They are either given a personality to perform on stage, or they only pick out a sertion type of women, most likely it's both I guess. These contests are born in United States, even if it probably have a lot to do with the typical American society and moral, it's anyway something very global.
I saw this talkshow program (Ricky Lake) not long ago and the subject where; "Fat women can also be attractive too" I thought it was fine, until I saw these women; they where fat in extremely unhealthy ways. They wanted to say to the Fascistic side of America that suppressed them, that they wanted to express their sexuality as well as the thin and pretty ones. Because the moral is of course; you are not supposed to have a sexuality unless you are attractive, or can earn money or fame on your looks. It's obviously born out of the greed and hunger for power and money, the extreme focus and worship of sex and Narcissism that creates this. So these fat women were in a sense excepted when they showed their face on TV, in a way saying; lets make fatness popular, because that mean we can also be powerful, control fashion and the popularity culture. The less clothes these fat women had on, the better, because it's not about looking good really, it's not really about being healthy either. It cost a lot of money to put plastic in your body, it also cost a lot to be fat. Just because you are a little overweighted doesnt mean that you are unhealty of course, and just because you are thin doesn't either have to mean your sick, but should'nt there be certion limits where we should question the health issues? and not promote it. These things doesn't always seem to matter, because healthiness or honesty is never really the issue when it comes to these things. If it's modern and fashionable, then it's also fine and you are not suppose to criticize it, it's disrespectful then and people will just say that you are jealous. Think if a racist said to you; -"You don't agree with me on my white pride because you are jelious. No one can ever really find an intellectual opinion about my views on myself, because I've always been modern"...
In my opinion the thing that we often forget about is individuality, none of the things I've mentioned promotes individuality or inner qualities such as healthiness, spirituality or honesty. When have fashion told us; that it's more important to be healthy than fashionable. It's more honest and truthful to be yourself rather that being proud of something in yourself that are fashionable. Because isn't it more important to be spiritual than flying around telling people that you are religious. If we had any respect for ourself and if we really saw celebrities as humans,we would tell them; It's more important that you take care of yourself, than telling us that you are pretty and wealty. We would say to the neo Nazi; It's more important that you go and dig your white pride, than telling us that you dig it.Is it what we are or what we do,that are more important?
I have nothing against the royal people in persons, it's not their fault that they are born into a celebrity family. I'm not jealous on them either; I don't think that fame and fortune is the road to happiness or sadisfaction. I feel the same way about beauty queens. My opinion is that these people don't deserve anymore attention than the neo nazis of today. It's not that they are bad people, they are people too and everyone need to express themselves. The point is that talent, honesty and healthiness is often something that get left in the shadow of the search for power, egoism and the extreme need for rolemodels that tells us how to be. Individuality is indeed a unique thing in this world of fashion.
about what others think of them,
honesty is for people that care
about what others see in them.
