I Want My Corpse Flowers!

Always wanting to have my own carnivorous meat eating plant, I couldn't wait no more, in case they would go out of stock. So today I bought myself the Desktop Carnivorous Plant Set from Thinkgeek (Yes that's the type of things I use my money on). I didn't read trough all of their shipping info, so I just hope they do ship internationally, without much hassle. In this package, I will get several different types of seeds, all meat eating odd plants. I guess the growing dome that comes along, is to preserve a certain temperature. I wonder, do these type of plants, originally are considered tropical? I hope I can manage growing them, I will take pictures if so.

Anyway, have you heard of the giant flower, pretty on the eye, big as a horse, who eats dead animals? I think they might be rare tropical flowers. They are at least the largest meat eating plants, that exists. Although very beautiful, apparently the smell of them are terrifying, as you can imagine, since they eat rotten beasts. I love to read about such things. To imagine having a flower like that, in the garden. What wonders it could do to the neighbours.

Lately there have been a lot of spiders, even a REALLY big one (I can't talk about it, it's too painful). A sign of spring riding in. I wonder if the carnivorous plants, attracts the spiders? If so, it's a bad thing, I wouldn't dare having it on my desk then. What horrors it would be, seeing a spider wrestle a plant!

All this flower talk reminds me of, when I visited a flower park in Denmark. I wanted to park myself at the spot and live there, if I could, I'd think no dark thoughts ever again... In the fresh air and the soft scent, from the decorated grass beds, there would be philosophy and tea, early in the morning rise, every day...
