Anyway, it was this Miss Universe contest on TV yesterday. It was hosted by the man of "Shit Entertainment" -Jerry Springer. Of course I didn't look at it. I've seen it before and I know what it is. Honestly I've seen more attractive women working down in the mall, with more charm and personality. It's obvious that these contests only contain people with no personality or intellect, otherwise they would have gotten an education like the rest of us. The message that these contests express are really not positive either, it tells people that a specific morality and outlook is better than another, because the women you see are all the same, they all have the same nice attitude that the popularity culture promotes. I've talked about these things before, but I always like to mention it again. No one deserve to win a medal for their beauty, because it's not a talent or a skill. I mean we might as well give white people a medal for being white, saying that they are better because they are white. Being white is not talent, so only people with a low self-esteem start to think that being white is better than being black. It doesn't mean that being white is a negative thing or that we should hide our beauty, but we should respect that people need to have their own idea of what is attractive, an industry like the popularity culture make people forget about the unique things in people. The natural side of beauty, it always tells people to change what is natural, fake it, all because of power and greed... Just think about living in a world where everyone looked like everyone else, it's not a nice thought. A lot of us would probably be excluded in such a society, because of our differences...
To end this entry with a more positive vibe,I write down one of my favourite lyrics by John Lennon. Words to reflect on in these violent times...
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
No religion too
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say Im a dreamer
but Im not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one...
