Usually I turn off the sound when Bush speaks on TV. He always say the same thing and that man is such an idiot, he probably wouldn't even fit for laundry jobs. But the other day, I overheard he say the same babble about the new beheading, as he said about the Nick Berg murder. He used the word evil. And that's just typical of course. All morons of this world, love to blame the devil when something bad happen. And they equally enjoy climaxing to the name of God, when they think they deserve heavenly gifts.
Did you know that Evil is a triangular little spider, that always comes to me in the summer. Everyone hates him around here, because I fear him. And I'm a tense person. I often create bad vibes and terrorize the home, if I suspect that someone left Evil an open door or an escape. And in this; I have no morality. I only feel slightly bad about my unfairness when I pity myself... Of course it's not the same spider every year. And they are many. But they are all the same. And because I usually get it my way at home, little Evil is then an enemy to everyone who lives and enters. Maybe you don't fear the little leggy creature, maybe you don't mind to get in his path. But you should fear me...
Evil, pride, flags and systems are good things, for people who don't come with a brain. For them, nothing needs to be explained. Shoot the bad guy (don't point at yourself) and pray to God that he will show up blessing (point at yourself).
Remember the boy in Iraq who lost his whole family, including his limbs? Remember him? Did Bush come forward and call his family's murderers evil then? When the pictures and tapes of this boy came out, did he even say anything at all? And this was a boy. Not a man. He was not an adult man who supported the war and tried to make a living out of it. From what I have heard, at least two of the beheaded American men supported the war. One of them was even working for a company that created attack helicopters. This doesn't mean that they deserved to die. But it means that they are not necessarily better, than any small thug trying to make a living in America. Because you don't have to use a gun to shot someone. If your friends shoot and you clean the guns afterwards; then you are also a killer. Just like a man is a man, a killer is a killer. I didn't know those men in person, so I cannot judge them as individuals. But Bush don't either know those men whom he calls terrorists, so he cannot judge them as individuals.
You have to wonder of course. Did Nick Berg stick to his opinion to the bitter end. Or did he beg. Did he try to convince his enemies while in their care, did he glorify the war then? Would you? If you knew your head was about to be cut off, would you keep your little country pride then? Remember the song? the words? the ribbons, the political faces of the people who put you there? Or would you in that moment, finally realise, that your life means nothing. Not to them and not to some of those things you believed in. Because life is not unique, humanity is a an infant sucking the milk of the earth. It will not end when you are gone. It doesn't need you and your little humanity. Your silly ribbons of pride and ignorance. It makes us all terrorists. And no side was ever good enough, to be fought for with guns.
I sat and watched Saving Private Ryan the other day. I have seen it many times. It brings forward the question; Is one man worth saving, if you have to kill, to be able to save him? Some would say that Saving Private Ryan was a good mission. Others would say that if you want to help the simple individual, you have to stop killing them. If a man is a man, there is not just one Ryan out there.
But it's important with good war movies. Those that manage to show the cruelty, as well as the humanity in the soldiers. Because a soldier is just an ordinary guy. A tool for our governments. And we should have good movies about the awful parts in governments too. Those corrupt matador systems, that crowds cheer and yell at with eagerly enjoyment. Put them on the pin. And let them eat their own soup, while we humiliate humanity with it's truth.
A few days ago, in a Swedish discussion TV program, I saw clips of the Dr. Phil show episode, where he and a war loving audience, trash the expression of anti-war activists. I believe these specific demonstrators, were of the peaceful serious brand. But Dr. Phil came out of his doctor jacket and sounded like an old fashioned blockhead. It was actually very shocking. Maybe he should take lesson from his girlfriend Oprah and not pick a side in his open forum. Because he is suppose to run a serious presentation, not a political campaign.
And onto my opinion. If we cannot criticise government, military, politicians and the king, then god dammit; the freedom of speech means nothing! Dr. Phil and his war audience, is probably the dumbest thing I have ever seen on modern television. (And I have seen Jerry Springer, just so you know it). They sucked up to their ridiculous looking flag decorated clothes and the thought of their old peoples rusty dusty war medals. They shook their heads and talked like chickens.
And I thought; I'm glad I can swear and yell, without thinking it's a sin. I'm glad I don't have to be a sweet tart, in order to get people to like me. I'm glad I don't think God is a relative. I'm glad I don't like to drape myself in a flag. I'm glad I don't feel the need to speak for my elders. I'm glad I'm not a photocopy of our human ancestors. I'm glad I'm not God's chosen special child somehow. I'm glad I don't think my beliefs, are worth dying for. I'm glad I am able to criticise my country. I'm glad I can say that I don't like your religion. I'm glad I don't have to prostitute my ideas, to feel valuable. I am glad I don't see people as evil, or black and white. I'm glad I am able to understand, that a child in Iraq is as valuable, as a child in America. I am glad I have never doubted this.
