My Love Machine & The 80's

I will finally get myself the new Windows XP version now, tomorrow I will deliver my computer to a comp guy and he will install it and do some fixing on my machine. It's supposed to be finished after two days, so I'll be back then or shortly later. There wont be any new entry here until I'm back on my love machine again (I'm always nervous about this,as I live in front of the little screen). I will have to do some Christmas card writing, post some packages and read while I'm waiting for the computer to come home.

Anyway, I just discovered Mortiis, a friend of me said I should listen to it and now I find it just amazing. I've been downloading Mp3 songs of them. Mortiis is a Norwegian electronical music thing, I'm not sure if you can call it a band. So I just bought the latest album, witch is called Smell Of Rain. It's a really beautiful and emotional experience to listen to. If you want to download a song of them, you should go for the one called Monolith, that's my favourite... I'm so attached to music, as I've said before and I have to have my daily dose of something every day. For me, music creates dreams and visions that are personal, I don't just listen, it touches me in so many ways I've never felt people could touch me...

I feel the same way about art, movies and literature. I probably live more trough these things than what is natural or healthy, I don't know... We do have a lot of good music here in Norway, it isn't always recognized by foreigners, obviously because of the stupid narrow minded moral of music promoters such as MTV and these things. I really used to love MTV in the eighties, I loved almost everything they played on it, it was my favourite channel. -But then again, the eighties ruled! Everything were cool in the eighties, the pop music wasn't just shit, the clothes, hair and the movies was just so much better than what we have now... You know, I listen to eighties music still today. I guess it's just the same way my parents feel about the sixties... and I always thought they were so un cool and old when they said everything were better in the old days... Now I feel old... Come to think of it, I'll make a list of good Norwegian music, on my web site here, I think that's a good idea. I'll do it when I get back on my computer.
