I dont read those magazines anymore, I'm older now and would rather read imature comic books than stupid useless love advices, obviously written by women that have had more lectures on how to do men, than psychology. Magazines is like fashion, it wants to tell us how we should be. In my opinion we cant really blame horror movies for the violence, we should know that these movies are there to entertain us, not to teach us. I dont think pornography makes people rape, these things are stupid to even consider. Pornography have a completely different negative effect, just like the violence that is poured trough the news have. We let these things shape us and there are immune things that grow beyond the idea of fashion.
There are big similarities to the small useless things you learn in school and the things that are preached to us troughfashion. We dont even notice it, we change ourselfs, we become adults, start to feel embarrassed about showing our true selves. Someone is always telling you, wispearing from behind you back, an invisible force; -'You cant wear these things to school, people will hate you!' and -'you should wear these things to turn people on, people will love you!' There is in my opinion nothing intellectual behind these voices. They deserve no respect, I dont like to treat people with no respect, I think it's better to walk away, ignore. That is why I ignore these magazines today, these voices. They are useless garbage in my view. However I like to express my opinion here, as this have everything to do with what kind of person I am. If you think I'm fat, I can tell you that I'm not. Does'nt beautiful women have opinions then? Do they never feel resentment towards anything that wants to sell them, for as long as they have a face to sell?...
I dont hate people and I dont look down on people, not anyone. I'm here for a reason, an understandable reason and so are these fashion models too. We should try to understand both sides if we speak out about it. Why should it be so hard to have an opinion about the issues in society without being told that it is you that it's wrong with. If you go tell your parents that you dont feel happy, should they make you feel embarrassed then, should they alienate you, leave you to yourself, push you out the family. If you go tell the society that you dont feel happy, should they do the same. I think it's important to listen to how people feel about such global issues as fashion, because very often it's more about politics than it is about art. Fashion Is not a private small cult movement, based on the individial members feelings and their struggle to survive.
I look at these women and I think; It's when things loses it's uniqness that it grows pale and ugly. It turns into a conservative tradition based on the old doctrine; power is beauty so there are no uniqness that are beatiful, because beauty is only forced trough by the masses. You cannot find beauty in the things that are strange or different then -and that is where the power of anti-art dwells... The natural things we like to call art of the nature is not a natural thing after all, it's a policy. We change it, we conceal it, we buy it, we transform it after any kind of small influence. It's almost faster than the speed of the light, because we call it individualism, yet it sells like a whore.
I've never understood anorexia on a personal level. However I wrote this poem a long time ago and I think it match this.
Hear my fascism wispears;
I'll Be Yours Forever!
I'll haunt you in your awaking dreams
I'll lick you tears as I smile
and give you a piece of my anorexic cake
-Blossom my evil flowers
-your love is complete
-your beauty is more indoxicating
than your thorns are sharp
I'll hurt you more
than you will ever know
because In your well used mirrors
you are all natural born sadomasochists
I came here to do the dirty job
raise you as my fruit to eat
