The Vicars Smile & Communist Dogs

I'm not a Democrat and I'm not a Republican either. But I will give you my views on the current situation. And I will say a little bit about Moore and his Farenheit 911 movie, because someone asked me about it. I haven't seen the movie or any of Moore's movies, I have only seen clips, but I intend to see them.

My impression is; Moore is leftwinged, so naturally he will show the negative parts of the rightwinged political decisions. And Bush is rightwinged. Bush is an old fashioned, "anti-everything that isn't old" type of guy. You don't have to dig very far to find something that will clash with modern ideas. Because some leaders will always be in support of war, wear tie and handshake with the enemy if they can come up with an agreement or deal. They don't do it out of compassion, they do it because they feel they have to. They run a business. There are people like this everywhere. You can meet one at the bank, at the supermarket, in school and at your job. In all big houses, there are at least one of those people in those offices. They rarely give you something you need, unless they are related to you. It's your lucky day if they do. It's not that they aren't caring people, it's that they think care is something that fits in the home, not in business.

You don't either have to dig very far to notice that leftwingers, often refer to things that the rightwingers find useless. Useless as in big capital letters. Because rightwingers might be right about a whole lot of things, but I have noticed that many of them lack something so fundamental. Something I have more often found in the left side.

When I was younger and was unsure about what to vote for, I tried to close my ears once and just look. I looked at the people who represented the different political ideas, without listening to what they said on the surface. I looked at their body language, the way they carried themselves and I tried to read between the lines. When I did that, I became a lot less confused. Because if you stop listening to all the promises, all the babble about what is good or bad, and just observe, you really start to notice what it is you believe in.

I noticed that I usually found myself to like the expression, of the non-aggressive left side. They gave me an image of the things I could understand. The things I want politics to be about. I hardly ever managed to listen to, or much less understand all the talk about economy. Even though I know it's very important. But when someone started to talk about making a better school system, doing things for the poor and etc. I felt something. I felt then that this is who I am. I have always thought it was nicer to give, than to receive. I picked the political side according to my personality. Most people do.

And if I should speak from experience and be very judgemental for a second now; I have noticed that usually greedy people are rightwingers. Most women are leftwingers. Dogs are leftwinged (!). Most Communists I have met have been very generous people. A Nazi I used to penpal with, was obviously not very sensitive in his ideas. (This doesn't mean that I wasn't able to see his good spots.) Some men (and when I say men I mean women too) use way too much time on numbers, statistics, symbols, facts and figures. And some of those leftwingers who are aggressive demonstrators, are way too expressive about their care. What you do, is what you are and what you say you are, is not always what you do.

I don't claim this to put people in boxes. I say it because that's how it is. There are many rightwingers that I have met, who I believe have been very good in questions about the economy. I don't doubt that they will be good in politics. But I firmly believe that every old fashioned money loving Conservative, needs a course in empathy. And I have seen Michael Moore's TV programs and I think he direct the attention on a lot of very significant, often ignored problems in America. I don't doubt that Moore would be good in politics.

Meaning; the leftwingers are right about some very important matters of fact. And the rightwingers have been right about some other issues. The thing that must happen is that these political sides, must work it out together and take lesson from each other. Politics should not be run by one type of folks. And the silly argument about who is good and who is bad is plain ignorance. So when you trash a political side, a country or a person's outlook on things without even listening, you cannot expect anything else in return.

The movie Farenheit 911 as well as Bowling For Columbine, brings up the issues that the left side have stressed for ages. They have won awards and people have embraced these movies, because they were released during a time when people found it easier to feel empathy. A time when people wanted to hear it from someone else than their leader. People had been abused, killed and money had been spent. And the average person was left confused. Who is good, who it bad? What's going on? Where do I fit into this? Am I suppose to feel happy or mad? And then some ideas will have it's glory in the spotlight. And they will be looked down upon, by those who helped make room for their vision in the public eye. But your shadow will always follow you and sometimes it's even greater than your own person.

It's like the Vietnam war and the hippies. They were two different sides who fought each other, without noticing that they fed each other. The Vietnam war helped create the hippie movement. And Michael Moore type of folks are also a product, of the negative things going on. The rightwingers feed him. And many Anti-war people hails the warfare in their hearts, even if they detest the violence, because they know that it will benefit their philosophy, in the end. Many Conservative Moslems do the same thing, because they know that the violence of the American bombs in Iraq, will feed the hate and bring them more support.

And 911 was tragic. And that event also feed hate and violence. It runs down like milk in a baby. Sometimes you have to put on some tiny force to get it to eat, but usually it knows how to get to it by itself. The American government didn't want to go forward with an example. We waited for it, hoped for it. Because some people really do believe, that people can change. Make a difference. Instead it decided to terrorize and attack in the same manner. Pretty much for the same reasons.

Onto the little facts:

Personally I don't think it's interesting to know what Bush did in that moment, when USA was attacked. He was visiting a school for children they say. In that moment, they probably couldn't have stopped the disaster, no matter what. So I don't blame him for that moment.

America and some Conservative Moslems have terrorized. That's a fact. America and some Conservative Moslems have helped and supported terrorism. That's a fact. America and some Conservative Moslems has a political leader who thinks they can speak for a God. That's a fact. We know and knew that America and some Conservative Moslems runs businesses in the middle east, that could jeopardize the safety of the American people. That's a fact. Of course other countries and people have done the same things. That's a fact. I'm sure the American government have lied and will do it again. If they truly did not lie in these matters. If they really believed Iraq was a threat to the USA, then they still didn't deal with it the way they should have. That's a fact.

And you don't have to see Moore's movie to get those facts. You can read it in any newspaper and informational source. If most of the things in Moore's movie was a lie, then most sources would also be a lie.

Bush likes to play golf. A lot of rich people do. It's not all that interesting to know. But it's a specific image Moore wants to create of Bush in his film, by showing these clips of him playing golf. It says to you; this man is playing golf, he is not your daily man. He is the rich guy you will never know. He doesn't know what it's like to be poor, or struggle in America. I saw a similar clip of our previous king here in Norway, he was riding the bus together with ordinary citizens. And then people claimed that he was also an ordinary man. He took the bus and he was one with the people. The clip gave you that impression. And I firmly believe that he was also a good, decent and friendly guy. But the clip didn't show that he only took the bus once. Once in his lifetime. It didn't show that everyone would get up from their seat when he came, to give it to him. He would always have somewhere to sit and someone to drive him. He was not an ordinary guy. And sometimes texts, movies and images will show you something, but you will not see the whole picture.

I don't know what type of woman Lynndie England, the American soldier is. I only know that it somehow amused me that she was indeed a woman. A woman in a very manly position. And I don't know, but I wonder what some war supporting women thinks. Humanity sure got you there, vulgarly displayed in a image framed for museums. Womens nature. Round and pregnant in military outfits. Round strict boyish face. Put away the makeup will you, because this is a manly world. And women are good when they act like men. Does it make you feel, wanting to protect her? Because all pregnant women are mothers right? Good and sweet. But I'm sure she was a victim. In her job and by her own nature. Just like most other soldiers are.

I don't know what type of man Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Governor is. I only know that I liked some of his movies because they were entertaining. If it wasn't for all the fancy movie effects I wouldn't care to see his movies, as I have never regarded him to be a good actor. Just like Bush he cannot cook a good speech even if someone would keep a gun to his head, I'm sure. It was funny when the big Terminator guy called his opponents girly men. A lot of normal men would look wonderful in dresses if you compare them with Arnold, who I bet only really fit in armour. He seems like a guy who really wants to do something, just do something, and I think people fall for that. Bush is like that too. He wants to do.

And they smile a lot. On the stage they smile more than Kerry have smiled in his whole lifetime together, I'm sure. They smile like some vicars smile. Like some door sellers smile. And yesterday, I wondered as I sat in front of the TV, if I have ever smiled like that? Why not? and what does it mean? The famous "vicar's smile" is something I have never got myself to like. And no matter how I have tried to twist on my ideas, I have always detested that smile. Even if it proved to be right to make that smile, I would still detest it. I would want to choke myself if I found it on my face. You see it on Miss World or Universe or whatever they are called, those women. And some politicians carry it like glasses on their noses. It's always there. They wouldn't be the same without it. I have seen that smile from a hospital bed. I have seen it in teachers. I have seen it in strangers. And I have tried to smile back at them or pretended I didn't see their smile. In myself I have thought; "Fuck you, you just smile because you feel you have to. This doesn't mean a shit. Not to me. Not to you. Not to anyone. It's bad you came to this world with a mouth to smile with. It would be better if you didn't have one".

A smile is not something to just throw around. Make yourself worthy a smile. And make the smile worthy you.
