I Killed A Civilian

Things have been going great in World Of Warcraft for me, I have been playing every day recently. Collected myself some purple epic items and soon I'll be having myself an epic mount aswell. PVP (Player vs player) fighting in the battlefields have also been going good, I had over 100 player kills this week, which would give me another honour rank position.

Unfortunately I did the most silly thing today, the most stupid thing you can do in the game (apart from breaking the rules, which is something else). During PVP; I killed a civilian, by accident. Yes. Yes. That's just what I went and did. Silly me, I had to go ruin it for myself.

This now means that I will probably, most likely, not get another honour rank this week and I will always have a dishonour point in my profile. It feels bitter, as I was in for another rank, now I will lose a rank instead. I had worked so hard to get over 100 player kills and now it means nothing. I just went up to a civilian and killed it at close range. My plan was to never do this, ever, but civilians stand among the guards and it's very easy to make such a mistake, outside the battlefields. I really hope that Blizzard will decide, to remove the civilians, as they really don't fit in a battle game after all, nobody wants them there.

Anyway, apart from this, I look forward to the upcoming WOW package, called The Burning Crusade, I hope the game will just improve and attract more people. If you like to look at my player character called Gloomjoy, you can check it out here, it's got all the info, you can even see what I have in my inventory bags there.

Have there been anything interesting in the news lately? Not really. I don't know if I thought it was funny, or sad, that Dick Cheney shot and wounded a friend during fun and play. I felt little about it.

Why does it make him a bad guy?
Why should people in the USA trust him less?
Why make a big issue out of it?
He just shot a man at close range.

He didn't mean it. He had been drinking alcohol and he wasn't able to see the difference, between his friend and an animal. Out of fear, grief and shock, he avoided speaking to the police about the event. Should he get a penalty for it? Na, leave him be.

After all, it's a free country right? And the justice system would deal with the situation the same way, if Cheney happened to be a black guy on welfare. Bush would also joke about it during one of his senseless speeches, joke about it like it was a fun everyday, innocent event. Because leaders like Bush, would always protect his friends, even the black ones on welfare, that shoot people by accident.
